About the property

The Old School has been completely renovated. It is situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Devoran, which sits at the natural tidal limit of Restronguet Creek. The beamed, open-plan living area offers stunning views of the creek and village. The south-facing rear garden and patio provide additional outdoor space. Across from the school is the village park, and it’s just a short walk to the village pub.

Step outside your front door and discover the charming village of Devoran. Relax on the waterside benches and soak in the breathtaking views of the Creekside. At the Quay, you’ll find a sheltered haven perfect for all ages – swim, go crabbing, kayak, or paddleboard when the tide is in. Venture out on the scenic walking and cycling trails winding through the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There are 3 lovely pubs nearby, a local shop 5 min drive, Truro & Falmouth are 15-minute drive and the school perfectly located to explore beaches on the north & south coasts.

Our calendar is always up to date

Please send your booking request and we’ll reply almost straight away. From July until the end of August, we run minimum stays of 7 nights, with a changeover day on Saturday. At other times, the minimum is 3 nights.

About the school

As you enter the school, you’ll be greeted by a stunning vaulted hallway. To your left, you’ll find a cloakroom and utility area. Continue down the hall, and you’ll discover a beautiful four-piece bathroom suite featuring a rolltop bath. Two substantial double bedrooms lead off the hallway.

The heart of the home is the generous open-plan kitchen and dining area. Here, you can sit, relax, and entertain around the central island. An additional dining area provides ample space for meals.

The living room can be closed off to create a cozy, intimate space. Curl up on the two-three-seater sofas, with plush blankets and cushions for maximum comfort.

Enjoy views of the Creek from the living area, where a log burner provides a warm, inviting glow on cozy evenings. The home is also equipped with a Smart TV, Netflix account, and high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring you have all the modern conveniences at your fingertips.
The patio doors open onto a private, south-facing patio area equipped with a Weber BBQ and a table and chairs for outdoor entertaining.

Upstairs, the master suite features a stunning, beamed double bedroom with a plush king-size bed. Also on this level is a study/workspace with a desk and an en-suite shower room.

Thanks to the thick stone walls and double glazing throughout, the home remains comfortably cool in summer and cozy warm in winter, with thermostatically controlled heating in each room.

Guest access

You have complete use of the house, garden and there are 2 parking spaces, please park to the left nearest the school.

There is a key box allowing you to come and go completely as you please.

Pets

Well behaved dogs (max 2) are welcome and must be mentioned prior to booking. Please keep them off the soft furnishings and beds.
Dogs are charged at £50 per stay which is added to the total when booking.
