Dreslan is a home that makes you exhale the moment you walk in. Colourful, characterful, and brimming with the kind of warmth that only comes from a place that’s genuinely loved.

This newly refurbished detached home sits quietly above St Ives with the harbour, beaches and town all a short stroll downhill. Close enough to everything, far enough to feel like you’ve escaped it.
Perched just above St Ives, you get the best of both worlds: wander down to the harbour for a crab sandwich and a poke around the galleries, or head to the beach for the day, then come back up to relax in your own private garden and forget the world exists.
The space
Step inside and the lounge draws you in immediately. It’s a generous, full-length room: wood-burning stove at one end, patio doors to the garden at the other, with velvet sofas in olive and orange, bold art on the walls, and enough space to properly spread out. It’s the kind of room you don’t want to leave.
Beyond it, the kitchen diner runs along the back of the house. Newly fitted and generous, with plenty of workspace and a dining area at the far end that catches the morning light beautifully. The dining area has a lovely café charm to it.
There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with the family bathroom alongside it, which works perfectly for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs.
Head up and the two bedrooms are calm and spacious, both with warm lamplight and that particular quiet you only get when you’re just far enough from the town centre. One is a double and the other a twin (currently updating to remove cot and add a 2nd single bed). The shower room sits between them on the landing.
Outside, the sheltered rear garden has a stone-flagged terrace, a lawn, and mature planting. There’s private parking front and rear.
Getting out and about
The harbour and Porthmeor Beach are a short walk downhill. Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden are both within easy reach on foot. Beyond St Ives, the north Cornish coast is on your doorstep: Carbis Bay, Lelant, Hayle Estuary. Newquay Airport is around 25 miles.
