Thatched cottage in Feock, Cornwall
6 guests 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms

Tucked into the heart of the ancient village of Feock, The Nook is exactly that – a thatched hideaway so achingly beautiful you’ll wonder how you ever holidayed anywhere else.

This enchanting Grade II Listed thatched cottage has been lovingly restored to honour every inch of its history, with the kind of considered finishing touches that make you stop and smile: Fired Earth flagstones underfoot, Farrow & Ball on the walls, Jim Lawrence lighting casting a warm glow, and hand-forged From the Anvil ironmongery on every door. The owner really cared here, and it shows.

The Carrick Roads is just a short stroll away, and Loe Beach is practically on your doorstep.

The space

★★★★★ The Nook is new to Airbnb, but managed by Secret Lux, so you’re in very good hands.

Between Truro and Falmouth, you’re brilliantly placed for everything: world-class restaurants, secret creek walks, kayaking the Fal, or simply doing absolutely nothing and feeling very good about it.

The generous living and dining room flows straight out onto a sun-drenched southerly terrace, perfect for morning coffee with the birds, long lunches that drift into lazy afternoons, or a glass of something cold while the garden does its thing. Inside, there’s also a cosy snug for quiet reads by the fire, or to give the kids (or frankly, yourself) a little breathing room.

The galley kitchen is beautifully set up for proper cooking: warm wood worktops, and a Smeg range cooker that’ll have you planning ambitious dinners the moment you arrive. There’s a utility room off the back of it too.

Sleeping: Three bedrooms upstairs: two doubles and a single with additional pull-out bed (sleeping 1 adult or two children).

Bathrooms: A WC & shower room on the ground floor, plus a family bathroom on the first floor with both a freestanding bath and a separate shower.

The garden: A generous lawned garden planted with fruit trees, a well-established kitchen garden, and two terraces, one with a pergola. There’s also a driveway with parking for two cars.
