From the front door, you’ll only need to walk a few paces to Point Quay to sit on one of the waterside benches for the most wonderful views right next to the sea. The interior oozes character with beamed ceilings, sumptuous velvet furnishings, and the sights and sounds of the sea on the doorstep.
★★★★★ Beautiful home in an idyllic location.
3 lovely pubs nearby, local shop 5 min drive, Truro & Falmouth 15 mins drive. Ideally located to explore beaches on north & south coasts.

About the cottage
Estuary Cottage has been completely renovated and is in a designated World Heritage Site, located 50m from the sea, with the village green at the rear.
★★★★★ Could not recommend staying here enough. It was quite possibly the best AirBnB I have ever been to. Will definitely be coming back. If anything the photos don’t do the house and location justice!
From the front door, you’ll only need to walk a few steps to Point Quay to relax on one of the waterside benches for the most wonderful views right by the sea. The Quay is a sheltered haven for children and adults alike. You can swim in the sea or go crabbing, it’s ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding when the tide is in (both can be borrowed for free during your stay), and the start of some fabulous scenic walks and cycles in our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can find out more about what’s nearby, a little further down this page.
★★★★★ Probably the most beautiful place we’ve stayed in the UK.

★★★★★ Estuary Cottage is a magical place to stay in the beautiful and extremely peaceful hamlet of Point. Nic has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable.
As you enter, you’ll walk into the cosy living room with 3 seater sofabed (will sleep 2 children or 1 adult comfortably), double sofa, 2 beanbags, plus plenty of cushions to keep you comfy.
You have views to the water, a log burner for cosy evenings in the glow of the fire, and 40in Smart TV with the cottage’s own Netflix account and high speed 65 Mb/s wifi.
Next you’ll walk through to the dining room which is open plan to the kitchen. The farmhouse dining table seats 6, and the kitchen has all you could need; Smeg electric hob and oven/grill, Bialetti moka pot and milk frother for the best coffees, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier. You’ll also find a WC downstairs.
The back door leads up to the private decking area with Weber BBQ and table and chairs for outdoor entertainment. The deck then leads up to the pretty cottage garden.
Upstairs you’ll find the first bedroom with a really comfy king size bed and lovely sea view. The second bedroom has 2 singles, en-suite WC, and patio doors leading out onto the deck. The bathroom with shower and WC is between the bedrooms.
Due to the really thick stone walls and double glazing throughout, the cottage is lovely and cool in the summer, and toasty warm in the winter with thermostatically controlled heating in each room.
The cottage is the middle one in a terrace of 3 traditional Cornish cottages built in 1860.
There is parking outside for 1 car and a few steps away by the village green for more.
Pets
Well behaved dogs (max 2) are welcome and must be mentioned prior to booking. Please keep them off the soft furnishings and beds.
