Be prepared for a very special stay by the sea! We've recently bought, beautifully renovated and refurnished the cottage. The interior oozes character with beamed ceilings, sumptuous velvet furnishings, and the sights and sounds of the sea on the doorstep. 3 lovely pubs nearby, local shop 5 min drive, Truro & Falmouth 15 mins drive. Ideally located to explore beaches on north & south coasts.
Ideal for a family, couples or a small group of friends, the cottage is the middle one in a terrace of 3 traditional Cornish cottages built in 1860, located 50m from the sea, opposite the village orchard with the village green at the rear.
From the front door, you'll only need to walk a few paces to Point Quay to sit on one of the waterside benches for the most wonderful views right next to the sea (when the tide is in). The Quay is a haven for children and adults alike. You can jump into the sea or go crabbing, it’s ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding (both can be borrowed during your stay), and the start of some fabulous scenic walks and cycles in our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our calendar is always up to date
Please send your booking request and we'll reply almost straight away. During peak season we run 7 night minimum stays with changeover day on Fridays.
As you enter, you'll walk into the cosy living room with 3 seater sofabed (will sleep 2 children or 1 adult comfortably), double sofa, 2 beanbags, plus plenty of cushions to keep you comfy. You have views to the water, a log burner for cosy evenings in the glow of the fire, and TV/65 Mb/s wifi.
Next you’ll walk through to the dining room which is open plan to the kitchen. The farmhouse dining table seats 6, and the kitchen has all you could need; new Smeg electric hob and oven/grill, Bialetti moka pot and milk frother for the best Cornish coffees, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier. You’ll also find a WC downstairs.
The back door leads up to the private decking area with BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco entertainment. The deck then leads up to the pretty cottage garden.
Upstairs you’ll find the first bedroom with a really comfy king size bed and lovely sea view. The second bedroom has 2 singles, en-suite WC, and patio doors leading out onto the deck. The new bathroom with shower and WC is between the bedrooms.
Due to the really thick stone walls and double glazing throughout, the cottage is lovely and cool in the summer, and toasty warm in the winter with thermostatically controlled heating in each room.
There is parking outside for 1 car and a few steps away by the village green for more.
Cot and highchair are available on request.
Plenty of local walks from the door, and many many beaches reachable by car.
Pets Well behaved dogs are welcome and must be mentioned prior to booking. Please keep them off the soft furnishings. There is a dog fee of £50 each per stay.
